Some of Will's favorite cookies at the holidays are thumbprint cookies that his mom makes. She sent up the recipe so we attempted making them for the first time this Christmas. Grayson liked helping so we gave him the job of putting chocolate chips in the middle. We ran out of chopped nuts unfortunately so half the cookies were just chocolate cookies. :) Of course Grayson enjoyed eating the chocolate chips as much as he liked trying to put them in and by the time we got done his mouth was very chocolatey! 
We painted our own plate for Santa's cookies at a pottery store here in town. We should have waited another year before attempting this with Grayson, but thankfully we had the two of us there to tag team keeping his preoccupied! Our blood pressure probably rose quite a bit during the process!
