My sister Deanna and her girls, Katelyn and Mia came up from Portland, OR to see Grayson and me while we were in WA. The girls had a fun time going swimming with Grayson at the hotel pool and we made a trip north of Seattle to my Aunt Jo's house one of the days. Our cousin Christopher was there with his wife and son, Rylan. Rylan is a year older than Grayson, and Grayson would just sit there at first watching what he was doing. Katelyn and Mia did a great job at keeping the boys entertained and at times we weren't sure if Mia was having more fun with the toys than the boys were. :)

Trip to Washington
Grayson was quite the flirt in the airport on our way to Washington. He loved climbing on and off the chairs and smiling at everyone waiting nearby. One man stopped to see if he could get stock advice from Grayson since he thought he could be the twin for the "etrade" baby on the commercials. He did great on the flights going out and coming back with little bursts of crying here and there, but we managed to make our 30 min layovers each time. However, after this trip I realized that that's the last time I travel with him alone on my lap. He's getting way to mobile and independent to try and keep satisfied on my lap! We saw a lot of people while in Washington. We saw friends, people at church, and went up to my school to see the kids and coworkers a couple times that week. It was a great trip and nice to see all those familiar faces I've come to miss while in AZ.
| Hanging out with Ms. Robin at school. She's always a sucker when it comes to Grayson and loves to give him balloons whenever there's one there in the office! |
| Hanging out with Michelle at Red Robin. Michelle has been wonderful help during my 4 years teaching at Millennium and I don't know what I would have done without her! |
Sydney and Grayson
A coworker from school, Sarah, had a daughter about 4 months before Grayson was born. Sydney and Grayson then went to the same babysitter when the school year started up in September. Grayson loved playing her and his other little buddy Cameron each day at the sitters house. While in Washington Grayson had the chance to go play with Sydney and Cameron at Keely's (the babysitter) for a couple hours and then we also got to hang out with Sarah and Sydney a few more times that week. The kids had fun playing at Sydney's house and having lunch at Red Robin and sharing a grilled cheese sandwich on St. Patty's Day. Wish we could see Sydney and Sarah more often! Maybe next time they'll make a trip to our house to play! :)
The kids decided that they need to lay on the coloring pad and so Sarah traced them.... or at least attempted to!
Every time Grayson saw a dog while we were in Washington he'd love it! Of course that just gives Will more reason to get a dog once we move!
Checking out pictures on Sarah's camera
Waving to strangers
Grayson and Sydney loved their balloons at Red Robin!

Tacoma Childrens Museum
While in Washington Grayson and I joined our friends Amy and Aaron at the Children's Museum. We had to find something fun to do indoors since or course it was raining all week while we were there! Grayson had a blast and any time there was an exhibit with balls I would have to tear him away from them in order to see what else was there. He'd of course pitch a fit at first, but then would find some more neat things to play with and forget all about why he was mad!
There were tubes that you could place on the magnetic wall to make the balls travel down the tubes. Grayson and Aaron loved watching the balls getting sucked up the tube to the top and watching them come down.
At first Grayson didn't quite understand how it all worked....
then he figured it out and couldn't get enough of it!
