St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Here in Savannah it is a HUGE holiday!  So big that they were expecting the parade downtown to be the biggest in the world this year.  Bigger than the Macy parade at Christmas!  Needless to say, we kept it low key and did NOT venture downtown to see the parade.  We didn't want to bring the boys down to the craziness since we would have had to be there by 8:30, not be able to leave till 3, while having crowds of adults drinking beer all along the streets.  Instead, Grayson and Daddy made me breakfast in bed (fruit pancakes) and I got to sleep in.  Ryley slept through the night for the second time and then fell back to sleep after eating with me in bed for another hour too! :)  Then we hung out, went to the pottery shop to paint a present, off toa  shop for hanging baskets, and then to the park after nap time.  It was a beautiful, sunny day with a small breeze which put us in the mood to BBQ for dinner.  While our St. Patty's Day may not be exciting compared to those around this town, we had a nice quiet family day!.Hope everyone had a nice day too!  Here are some pictures from our day...

Playtime with Ryley

Grayson's "Boogie Feet"

If you have not see "Tickle Monster" and you have kids, we highly recommend the book set!  It comes with fuzzy gloves to put on to be the Tickle Monster.  We've had this book for awhile and while at the home decor store getting hanging baskets, we saw that the author also wrote "Boogie Monster"!  We had to get it right then and there!  It also came in a set with fuzzy leg warmers/feet to become the Boogie Monster, as well as a cd to dance to the music.  Grayson wanted me to wear one leg while he wore the other, then wanted the tickle gloves too. :)

Happy Ryley hanging out at the park!

Such a big boy!  Climbing the rock wall with no help these days!

Pretending it's the "Ice Cream Shop"

Climbing the web alone too!  Does he need his mommy anymore?! :(

I've been working on the playroom some more during nap time.  Still haven't decided if I'm brave enough to do a tree in the corner with leaves branching onto the ceiling.  But flowers, bees, ladybugs, and ants have almost been completed!  Tomorrow I'll try to get clouds done during nap time.  Then working on maybe some caterpillars, butterflies, and birds.  Will wanted to know why the playroom was swarming with bees since he HATES bees. :)  They're happy bees though!  I also got the alphabet border painted on his chalkboard wall.  Grayson even tried out the chalkboard and it works great!
