I am finally getting the chance to post photos from our road trip to Iowa this summer. It's been busy since then so sorry for the delay! Now that Will is gone for the month, I will be spending the next few evenings catching up on pictures. The first week of August we drove up to Iowa to spend time with my family and for my cousins family. To break up the trip, we stopped in Normal, IL to spend a couple days with Will's friend from HS. Grayson had a great time playing with their daughter, Emma, who is about 15 months. He didn't seem to mind the age difference and was in heaven with her stash of toys! :) Even though we were only there for a couple days, we managed to fit a lot in! We visited their county fair, the little zoo, splash park, and pool while we were there. Grayson had a blast going down the small water slide at the pool and wasn't too happy to leave. Both the boys did a great job in the car both days which made the trip go a lot easier! Here are some pictures from our time in Illinois.
He finally passed out at 10 pm in the car!

Below are some video clips from our first part of the summer road trip! :)
Grayson's new favorite book is "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons". He heard it a couple months ago at library storytime. When he saw the book at Barnes and Nobles a couple weeks ago he got very excited and started saying part of the book "My button my button...". I was able to put a hold on the book at the library and we just picked it up yesterday. He has been wanting us to read it over and over again. This time he decided to read it to Daddy. :) You'll notice his hands moving... thats him trying to snap since I snap during the song in the book when I read it. You'll also notice the camera moving around due to me trying to hold Ryley who wiggles everywhere these days! Sorry for any motion sickness while watching this video! ;)
Ryley is growing by the minute it feels like! At his 6 month appointment he was 17 pounds and 26.5 inches long. He has gone from about 50% in height to 70% so it'll be interesting to see if he ends up being as tall as Grayson. He still looks like a mini Will though to me. :) He has one of the most contagious smiles and bright blue eyes that light up when he gives a big grin. Since these pictures, he has had two bottom teeth come in and I have a feeling more are soon to come! He still is a stubborn eater and prefers to eat chunks of food rather than anything from a spoon. If he had it his way he'd eat peaches and cheerios all day long! Here are just a few pictures I took right before he turned he 7 months.
We've had a busy summer and I realized I hadn't posted a few pictures from our fun at the end of July and first week of August. Here are a few to catch you up on what we've done this summer! :)
