Fire info
As some of you have heard now, a fire started Sunday about 10 miles south of Sierra Vista, the town by Fort Huachuca. It has continued to spread and only about 15% contained at this time. 47 houses have been damaged or destroyed due to the fire and many families are evacuated due to the spreading. The Monument fire is still about 5 miles away from town. We were advised in our neighborhood and the others here near the base of a canyon to keep watering our lawns and perimeter of our houses for preventative measures in case flames come through the canyon. At 2 pm today, another fire unrelated to the Monument Fire broke out on the south end of base away from the housing units. However, due to the rapid spread of this fire, houses now in south Sierra Vista are being evacuated and Will's class was let out early. I added a link below this that you can click on for more information containing these fires. There's usually new info every hour it seems so you can keep referring back to that if wondering how things are going. Grayson and i dropped off a number of items to a shelter in town and other drop of sites for items needed for those working to fight the fire as well as evacuees. They were very thankful for all the items and it's at least a small way I can help those in need. Please keep our area in your thoughts and prayers. We are in desperate need of the winds to stop that have been strong these last two days as well as an early monsoon season so we can get some rain. It hasn't rained in over 2 months in the area so things are VERY dry.... as expected for the SW in the summer! :) We'll let you know if anything happens and if we end up having to evacuate as well.

Big Brother Grayson!
Many of you know already, but we wanted to share the good news with anyone that hasn't heard.... Grayson is going to be a big brother! We found out the week after Easter that I am pregnant and had an ultrasound yesterday. Here is a picture of our new addition! For those who can't see anything in ultrasounds, I'll try to point out where the little one is. If you look in the middle/right there's a black hole with a grayish image inside. There's the baby's side profile. The head is on the left side, with the face looking down. Below the nose, you can start to see a hand. Then from the head, the back curves down and it's sitting on it's bottom in this picture with legs at the bottom.
The due date is January 6 which means yet ANOTHER January birthday in our house! Will is out numbered... nor is he too excited about all the birthday presents and Christmas presents we'll be buying now within a month! We are very excited though and of course Grayson has no clue what is going on. It will be interesting to see how he starts to notice things as my stomach gets bigger and the baby starts to move where he can feel. This pregnancy so far is a little different than with Grayson and have been having a little morning sickness. Nothing too bad thankfully! Looking forward to the end of the 1st trimester though and feeling back to "normal". We'll have another ultrasound right before we move to GA in Sept and should be able to find out if it's a boy or girl at that time. We'll be sure to let you know! Will likes to claim "Campbell men only produce boys", so I'm hoping to prove him wrong and have a little girl! :)

Swim class
We signed up for a Parent n' Tot swim class for Grayson to get used to the water and learn some beginning skills (i.e. going under, climbing out, etc.) It was perfect timing since Daddy's class was out on the first day of swim lessons so Daddy has been able to come to almost all the classes with us. On this day, I stayed out of the pool and took pictures. Grayson's little friend, Julianna, and her mommy are taking the class with us too. Grayson LOVES swimming and does great letting us lay him on his back and loves to go under the water! He's getting pretty good at climbing out, but of course needs a little help at his feet to step on our hands to get his legs out. He'll be a little fish in no time swimming all around the pool before I know it! :)

Memorial Day Weekend
For Memorial Day weekend we went up to Tucson and stayed a couple nights. We went to a Tucson Padres baseball game and to the zoo the next morning. Grayson loved playing on the grassy area at the field since it had a hill. He'd keep running down the hill, then slowly make his way back up.... after stopping to check people out of course! There were many comments from moms there on how cute he was... which of course is no surprise! ;) We went to the Titan Missle Museum before the game and realized our day of guided tours are over for awhile if we've got Gray. He just has too much to say these days and was jabbering away while the guy was talking. Thankfullly, the tour guides were understanding and most of the others in the group were as well! Grayson got to feed the giraffes for the first time the next day. We weren't too sure how he'd do being that close or having the giraffes tongue take the carrot, but he was a pro! He held the carrot right out there and loved seeing the giraffe grab it out of his hand. He wished there were more than 2 carrots to feed him. Of course mommy and daddy both wanted a turn so Gray got luckily and got to feed the giraffes a second time. :) We planned to head home after the zoo, but had friends meet us for the zoo and lunch and we ended up staying one more night to hang out in the University area for nap time and dinner then headed home the next day. It was a fun weekend to get out of Sierra Vista for a couple days.

Piano Man
Grayson likes to play the piano sometimes, but today as he was playing he was more "serious" about it and was turning the pages to the piano book like he was really following along with the notes on the page. :)

Blowing Bubbles
Grayson LOVES to blow bubbles these days! He'll go out to the courtyard and grab his bubble wand and bring it in to us begging us to go out there and blow bubbles with him. Will taught him how to blow and usually he'll be able to get some little bubbles out on his own with one of us holding the wand for him. Of course when trying to catch it on video he's able to get a bubble to form but it doesn't float out on it's own. Enjoy!
