4 Months and Dentist

These pictures are from a week or two ago, but oh well!  Ryley had his 4 month check up today and he's doing great!  However, it was proven Ryley definitely takes more after his Daddy!  He weighed 14 lbs 15 oz. which has him fall around the 23% for his age.  He is 25.5 inches long which has him in the 56% in height.  Grayson was about a half inch longer and weighed just a few ounces less at 4 months.  However, I remember Grayson always being above 85% in height!  Ryley LOVES to stand up these days!  We got his stand up toy put together and he's happy as can be in there as long as he can see someone else in the room.  He really loves it when Grayson comes to play on the toys with him. :)  Of course as soon as the toy was put together, Grayson with his long legs climbed right on in when I wasn't looking to try it out!  

Grayson had his first dentist appointment the other week!  I was nervous that he'd pitch a fit and be a handful.  However, I was pleasantly surprised and he climbed right on up in the chair without much coaxing and opened his mouth for the her to floss and brush!  Of course, it didn't hurt that they have a t.v. in front of the chair and turned on "Ice Age" for him to watch!  Grayson was excited to get a new toothbrush and pick out a prize before we left. :)    His teeth looked great and so far his bite looks good and hopefully it stays that way!  We're destined to have to pay for braces most likely on the boys, but hopefully they have better mouthes than their mommy and don't have to deal with an overbite and other things!

Savannah Tall Ships

Last Saturday we went downtown because the Tall Ships were in town.  When we first got down to River Street, a band from one of the ships was just finishing marching down the street.

We got our tickets after watching the band and thankfully the boys were free!  The tickets allowed us to get on the boats and tour them.  However, with the heat of the day and of course the boats weren't stroller friendly, we should have just walked around rather than buying tickets!  Grayson still enjoyed going on the few boats he got to go on, but now we know for next time! :)

We all got a stamp to show we had tickets which Grayson's first stamp started to rub off and he was very concerned.  So he ended up getting a second one and had to show it off.

Pirates were of course walked around the boats.  Grayson stopped to take a peek at them while heading to get in line to go on a boat.  He wasn't too sure what to think of them.

Daddy went on the first boat with him while I stayed out with Ryley since he had passed out in the stroller.  Had we realized that the stroller would be a hassle to even get around on the sidewalks down there we would have brought my Moby Wrap.  However, due to the heat I'm rather glad we didn't because Ryley and I both stayed cooler with him in the stroller under the shade than we have been with him wrapped up against me!

There were quite a few boats there to tour, but we found the shortest lines and went on those two boats!  The second one I took him on and it was the one who had their group in the band.  They were great about letting Grayson touch things and take pictures around the boat.  They even tried to get Grayson to take a picture with them, but he wasn't too sure about that.  

There was a children's area set up at the end of River Street with a tugboat kids could go on.  In that area there were lots of games and activities for kids to do.  However, it was so hot and getting to be lunch time that we didn't stay too long.  Grayson enjoyed painting a mask, seeing the tugboat, and getting to ride his own little paddle boat though.  The paddle boats for the kids were ones where they had to turn the handles to get the wheels to turn.  We weren't sure how Gray would do with it, but he managed to get around with the little muscle he used and help from the ladies in charge. :)  Of course he didn't want to get out, but was a good sport when we got him in the stroller to go grab lunch.

We went to Five Guys for lunch to get in the air conditioning for a bit and enjoy some yummy burgers.  However, once we ordered lunch and found a table we discovered both the boys were asleep!  We let Grayson sleep for awhile there and once he woke up he was ready for something to eat!

We had parked by City Market where there is a fountain kids can play in.  After lunch we headed over there and let Grayson play in the water before we went home.  Gray has come to love fountains and wants to stop at them whenever he sees one.  However, he won't actually go through it.  His favorite thing to do that day was run up to it and then run away screaming.  He did this over and over until we had to drag him away from the fun. :)  There was also a large puddle forming at the end of the sidewalk that kids were playing in.  To Gray it was like his little pool which is where he managed to get soaked from head to toe!  Ryley and I hung out in the shade of course while Grayson and Will played by the water.  I'll have to remember to bring Grayson down to the fountain during summer mornings to cool off and have some fun.  It'll probably become a routine to hit up the fountain whenever we go to the Children's Museum that will open up in a month!
